Third Estate Research was formed with the needs of small business owners in mind. In 2022, we saw the many benefits we could gain by conducting a paid focus group for a small (niche market) service business we own. We were looking to gain additional insight into any collective needs of our clients that we might be missing. So, we set out to do just that.

We contacted several well-known research companies and were absolutely astonished to find that the cheapest pricing for a small focus group started out at more than $8,000.00! To put it bluntly, we could not afford it. We also knew we weren’t the only small business owners who could see the value of this type of research but wouldn’t be able to afford it at those prices.
